We build our products to last, and we stand behind them. Every PhoneSoap device comes with a 1-year limited warranty, and the UV-C bulb — the one part that naturally dims with use — is covered for the life of your product. Here's what that means in plain English.
1-year limited warranty
For one year from the date your order is delivered, we warrant that your product is free from defects in materials, electronics, and workmanship under normal use. If a covered defect arises, we'll repair it, replace the unit (with a new or equivalent refurbished unit), or refund your purchase — at our option — at no charge, and we cover shipping both ways on approved claims during this first year. Any replacement part or unit carries the remaining warranty period, or 30 days, whichever is longer.

Lifetime UV-C bulb replacement
The UV-C bulb is the one component that gradually wears out with normal use. For the life of your product, if your bulb naturally wears out — as opposed to being broken — we'll replace it. Just contact us and we'll walk you through it: you'll ship your unit to us, we'll install a fresh bulb, and we'll send it back. During your first year we cover the shipping; after the first year, you're responsible for shipping to and from us for bulb service.
What's not covered
The warranty doesn't cover:
- Normal wear and tear, or natural cosmetic changes over time (such as slight color change on some materials from regular use);
- Accidental damage, drops, spills, liquid, fire, or other external causes;
- Misuse, neglect, or use that doesn't follow the product instructions;
- Damage from service or modifications by anyone who isn't a PhoneSoap representative;
- Damage caused by use with non-PhoneSoap products;
- Products purchased from unauthorized resellers; and
- Loss or theft.
This limited warranty is your exclusive warranty and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, is provided in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied. Where implied warranties cannot be disclaimed, they are limited to the duration of this warranty.
International customers
International customers receive the same 1-year limited warranty. Within 30 days of delivery, a defective unit or a shipping error on our end is replaced with a new unit at our cost. From 30 days to one year, a unit that fails under normal use is replaced with a refurbished unit at our cost. In every case, import duties, taxes, and customs fees are the customer's responsibility, and international sales are final. For coverage or bulb service beyond one year, you are responsible for shipping charges to and from PhoneSoap.
How to file a claim
- Email us at cs@phonesoap.com (or start a request through our Returns & Exchanges page).
- Include your order number and a short description of the issue — a photo or short video helps.
- We'll confirm coverage and arrange a repair, replacement, or bulb service.
Please keep your proof of purchase — it helps us verify your coverage quickly.
A note on your rights
This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. This warranty is offered by PhoneSoap LLC and does not affect any rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law.
